I've been having a frustrating issue with Google Chrome on my phone. Since yesterday, it keeps opening inappropriate ads, particularly pornographic ones. This happens after I leave my phone idle for a while and then wake it up. I also see a redirect page before the ad shows up. I've checked my search history and found random websites made up of letters that I definitely didn't visit. I'm pretty sure this could be malware, but I'm not sure how to get rid of it. Any advice on how to fix this?

If it's really persistent, you might want to uninstall Chrome completely and then reinstall it from the official app store. This often clears up these kinds of problems.
It sounds like you might have some malware causing those unwanted ads. First, I recommend checking your extensions. Sometimes, rogue extensions can lead to this kind of issue. You can uninstall any that look suspicious.
Yeah, if you've already scanned with Malwarebytes and found no viruses, trying a factory reset of Chrome might help. Just make sure to back up your bookmarks first!
For sure! Just go to Chrome settings, then 'Extensions' and disable anything you don’t recognize.
