I've been running Linux (specifically CachyOS) without any issues until I upgraded my GPU from an RX550 to an RTX3060 12GB. After that, everything went haywire. A recent update of CachyOS switched the Nvidia drivers to version 590xx, and it has completely broken my system. Now, I'm hopping between different distros trying to find one that works seamlessly with my Nvidia GPU and remains stable. I've realized that getting the latest versions isn't always the best choice, especially when performance was stable before this upgrade. I've attempted to install both Fedora and Pop!_OS, but they haven't worked out for me. Any suggestions on what I can do next? Should I just reinstall CachyOS for the third or fourth time?

I’ve had similar experiences with Nvidia drivers breaking my Pop!_OS setups. Sometimes going back to Windows feels easier, but when I returned to Linux, I found that switching distros often brings unexpected stability.
I’m not a CachyOS user, but I've heard that the latest Nvidia drivers have been causing issues for quite a few people lately. You might want to consider downgrading to the last stable driver version to see if that fixes things.
I found BigLinux to be a game changer for issues with graphic cards. It resolved all the problems I had, especially since I use both dedicated and integrated graphics on my laptop.
For someone not into heavy customization, Bazzite is a solid choice. If you're working with Fedora, try adding "nomodeset" to the Linux line in the grub menu after hitting E. This should help you boot into the OS without a black screen. You can also edit the grub configuration file afterwards.
If gaming is your main goal, look into immutable distros like Bazzite which are more stable for that purpose. If you’re open to something outside of CachyOS or Arch, OpenSUSE Tumbleweed has a good balance between the latest updates and stability.
