Hey everyone,
I really need some help here. My Gmail account was compromised on March 29 when I downloaded a malicious file that gave a hacker full access to my computer. They've changed my recovery options and even set up their own phone number for two-factor authentication.
I've done everything I could think of: filling out account recovery forms and submitting support requests, but Google keeps saying they can't verify that I'm the true owner of the account. It's still active, and I just want to either recover it or shut it down completely. I've also submitted a ticket to Access Now (ticket: 6-7529000038396).
If anyone has advice or a similar experience, I'd really appreciate your input. Thanks a lot!

I'm really sorry to hear you're going through this! It’s a nightmare. If you haven’t already, consider looking into some security forums or groups dedicated to account recovery. They might have some unconventional methods or insights that could help you further. Just keep pushing through the recovery requests, and hang in there!
Unfortunately, it sounds like your chances of getting it back are quite slim. Once someone has gained full control and changed recovery methods, it can be really tough to regain access. You might just have to accept that this account is gone, but keep trying through Access Now, just in case. Sometimes they can find a way to help!
