Hey everyone! So, I recently had an issue with my graphics card and I'm hoping you can lend a hand. Here's my setup:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7800X3D
- Motherboard: ASRock B650 Steel Legend WiFi
- Power Supply: FSP Hydro G Pro ATX3.0 PCIe5.0 850W
- GPU: PNY GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super (Verto OC)
Here's what's going on:
- The 'PNY' logo light on the GPU is always lit up when the PC is on.
- When I connect my monitor via the DP cable to the GPU, all I get is a blank screen right from startup.
- The GPU fans aren't spinning, but I'm unsure if that means anything.
- My motherboard doesn't have any LED indicators on, which I assume is normal.
- On the flip side, when connecting the DP cable to the integrated AMD graphics, everything works fine. The monitor, the sounds, the keyboard—everything is dandy.
- To make things trickier, the NVIDIA GPU isn't showing up in any software I've tried.
I even tried launching Deep Rock Galactic on the integrated graphics and switched to the dedicated GPU after, but still, no fans were spinning.
I don't have another PC to test the GPU on, so I'm wondering: is there a chance my GPU isn't actually dead?

Have you checked if you're booting in CSM mode or UEFI mode in the BIOS? Sometimes newer GPUs can run into issues if CSM is enabled.
If you can’t test the GPU in another PC, I recommend taking it to a local computer shop. They usually can check it for you quickly, often at no or low cost. It’s worth it just to get a confirmation on whether it’s truly dead or not!
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll probably go do that.
I just looked, and CSM is disabled. Just so you know, I built my PC last year and everything was fine until now.
