I'm facing some frustrating issues with my PNY 5080 OC graphics card. After a Windows update around March 17, I've been experiencing repeated GPU driver crashes, which I can easily reproduce under heavy load and even during less demanding gaming sessions. My computer itself stays stable—temperatures are normal—but games and applications just terminate with errors or freeze briefly as the drivers reset. In the event viewer, I've noted errors linked to nvlddmkm.sys. When running 3Dmark Steel Nomad, the GPU device instance gets suspended, and I'm hit with the 0x887a0005 error. I'm even seeing crashes in League of Legends, stating that Windows has restarted my GPU driver due to problems. I've tried rolling back drivers, using DDU to uninstall and reinstall various driver versions, changing BIOS settings, reseating components, and even reinstalling Windows, but nothing seems to fix the problem. I only bought this GPU about two months ago, so I'm worried it might be defective. Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated!

A lot of users have been reporting crashing issues with recent NVIDIA drivers. It's worth considering rolling back to an earlier version. Some people have had success with older drivers. It should be easy to find info on which version is more stable through a quick search.
I have the same PNY 5080 OC and haven’t run into these problems at all. I'm using the latest NVIDIA driver version 595.79 on Windows 11 without any issues. It could be worth checking other hardware, like your motherboard or even the GPU itself. Maybe try getting a spare GPU from a friend to see if that fixes your problems.
Have you tried removing your GPU and hooking your monitor directly to the motherboard instead, assuming you have integrated graphics (iGPU)? It might help diagnose if the issue is with the GPU or something else in your setup.

Yeah, I've tried a bunch of old drivers, but sadly, no luck for me either. My computer isn't crashing, and my fans are working fine, it's just the GPU drivers that keep giving up.
