I'm completely new to Linux, and I'm trying to learn more. I decided to install Winux on an older laptop that can't handle Windows 11. The installation went fine, but now I'm facing some issues. My USB ports aren't functioning at all, and I can only use the touchpad if I physically press it—I can't tap to click. Also, I'm having trouble figuring out how to enlarge the GUI since this laptop is meant for my parents, who are used to Windows. Any suggestions on how to get the USB ports working, adjust the touchpad settings for tapping, and increase the GUI size?

It sounds like you're having a rough start with Winux. For the USB ports not working, you might want to check if they're enabled in the BIOS settings first. Sometimes older laptops have USB ports that need to be activated there. Also, if Winux doesn't recognize the hardware, you might want to look into installing drivers specific to your laptop model or consider switching to a more widely supported distro like Ubuntu or Mint. They tend to have better out-of-the-box hardware support. As for the touchpad, you can usually adjust those settings in the system settings—look for 'Mouse and Touchpad' in the settings menu and see if there's an option for tap-to-click. Regarding the GUI size, you can generally find display settings under 'Settings' -> 'Display'; try tweaking the scaling options there. Let me know how it goes!
Hey, I totally feel your pain! It might be worth checking out some articles and forums for similar issues. While Winux has that familiar Windows interface, some users have run into issues like yours. If you're set on using Winux, maybe try reaching out to their support or community for specific fixes. However, if you think your parents would be fine with a standard distro, I'd recommend trying something like Linux Mint or Zorin OS. Both have user-friendly interfaces and might save you from these frustrations. Best of luck!
