I'm in a bit of a pickle! I've had to create an Apple account to access Apple TV for watching Formula 1 this year, but I really can't stand anything about Apple. I'm noticing a ton of invasive tracking in the terms of service and want to adjust the privacy settings to opt out of that tracking. However, I don't own any Apple products, and all the instructions I'm finding tell me to go into the Settings on a device I don't have. Is there a way to change my account settings without getting stuck on a loop where I'm only shown how to download my data or told to use an Apple device? Just so it's clear, Apple TV is available on Android and Windows devices, which is what I'm using.

I feel your pain! Apple is notorious for their invasive practices, just like their old iPod stuff that locked you into using iTunes. If it gets too annoying, maybe consider alternatives to F1—that might help you out in the long run.
Yeah, it's rough out here. But staying informed on privacy settings is key.
It's a hassle for sure! You're not alone; a lot of streaming platforms require accounts now. The good news is that you can change some settings online through the Apple ID website. Just log in and look for privacy settings. It might not be the full solution, but at least you'll have some control over your info.
Thanks for that tip! I’ll check out the Apple ID site. Better than nothing!
Yeah, definitely worth a shot! Let us know if you make any progress.
Honestly, it’s wild how many accounts you need to watch anything these days! Just remember, even if you're using the Apple TV app on a non-Apple device, they might still have access to your data. Good luck adjusting those settings; the labyrinth can be crazy!
I'm with you on that. It’s almost like they want us to give up on privacy entirely.
Right? It’s frustrating but expected from big tech companies.

Totally agree! Piracy might feel like an option when they make it so hard just to watch something.
