I'm looking for a way to keep both my headphones and speakers connected to my PC at the same time, so I can easily switch between them without having to crawl under my desk and unplug wires. My PC has multiple audio jacks: pink, green, blue, black, and orange. Which jacks should I plug my headphones and speakers into, and is there a simple way to control the sound output? Ideally, I'd love to just hit a button on my keyboard instead of physically disconnecting one device.

Have you tried using Soundswitch? It's a free app that lets you toggle between your audio output devices with a hotkey. I set mine to Ctrl + Alt + F11 and it works like a charm for switching between my headset and speakers.
You can also try right-clicking on the volume mixer near your clock, then going to 'Sounds' > 'Playback Devices'. There, you can set your desired output as the default. Just keep in mind you might need to open your audio apps after changing the output.
Another trick is to make sure both devices are plugged in before you open an app; it makes switching smoother!
I use a small audio mixing desk that connects to both my PC and has outputs for my headphones and speakers. It's great because it doesn't tie you down to just one OS, and the volume sliders are super handy! Just be aware, it might take up some desk space and requires a power outlet.
Some speakers even have a headphone passthrough option; you might only need to press a button to switch modes. For example, my Creative T60 speakers let me toggle easily. However, if your headphones have a mic and you want to use it, that can complicate things. Alternatively, if your devices are USB-based, you could try USB switches to simplify the process better!
You can quickly switch audio by pressing Win + Ctrl + V on your keyboard, which allows you to select the output device without getting up! Just make sure both your headphones and speakers are plugged in.

Thanks, GadgetGuru! I'll give that a shot and see how it goes.
