How can I enable USB inputs in UEFI after accidentally disabling them?

I accidentally disabled the USB input in the UEFI settings on my Lenovo G50 laptop, and now I can't use UEFI at all. My mouse and keyboard work fine in Windows 10, but they don't function in UEFI. What are my options to fix this?

If the onboard mouse and keyboard aren't working either, that seems strange. They should work regardless of USB settings. Have you checked for any hardware issues?

You should try booting into the BIOS. If the onboard trackpad and keyboard are still working, you might be able to re-enable the USB inputs from there.

Have you tried a CMOS reset? Just disconnecting the battery can reset your UEFI/BIOS to its default settings. Alternatively, you might be able to navigate using the built-in mousepad in your laptop.

I’ve heard that BIOS resets can solve a lot of weird issues, so it's definitely worth a shot!

That sounds easy enough to try! Thanks for the tip.

Do you have a PS2 keyboard or mouse kicking around? You might also want to look into a USB to PS2 adapter; it could work, but I’m not 100% sure.
