I just got a new Bluetooth headset and I'm trying to connect it to my PC, which has an external Bluetooth adapter. The headset connects fine, and the microphone is recognized, but it doesn't seem to work at all. I can't hear any audio output when I try to test it through Windows. This issue also occurs with other Bluetooth earbuds I have. What can I do to get the microphone working?

Sounds like you're having a tough time! If your headset is showing up but the microphone isn't picking up sound, it might be a driver issue. Try updating your Bluetooth adapter drivers or uninstalling and reinstalling them to see if that helps. Also, check if your headset has any specific drivers that need installation.
Try these steps: Right-click the Windows icon on the taskbar and open Device Manager. Expand the Bluetooth section and check if your headset appears there. If so, go to Settings, then System, and Sound. Make sure your headset is selected for both output and input, and check the volume levels too.
