How Can I Help My Mom Hear Movies While Using Earphones?

My mom is experiencing hearing loss, and I want to ensure she can enjoy the movies we watch without losing audio from the TV. She tends to use earphones as they help her follow along more easily, but I face a challenge: when I connect her wireless earphones to the TV, the sound from the TV disappears completely. I'm using a Mi Box to stream movies, which is connected to my TV via HDMI. Is there any app or solution that would allow her to use her earphones while still keeping the TV sound on?

You could look into getting an HDMI breakout audio box. This would allow you to extract the audio signal separately, so you can send it to an amplifier or direct connection for your mom's earphones without interrupting the TV sound.

That sounds like a solid idea! I found a few options online if you want to check them out. It's worth investigating for sure!

If your TV has a line out or headphone jack, you can split that output into two connections. One can go to some speakers (even basic ones) and the other can connect to her earphones, whether they're wired or through a Bluetooth transmitter. Just keep in mind that some TVs may turn off the internal speakers when you plug into the headphone jack, but you might find options in the settings that allow both to work.

So you're saying I might be able to use both her earphones and speakers at the same time? But what about Bluetooth? Can I connect multiple Bluetooth devices, or is it usually one at a time?
