I'm using Xfinity for my Wi-Fi, and the speed is great in my house. However, I have a guest cottage about 100 feet away where the Wi-Fi signal barely reaches. I've tried several Wi-Fi range extenders, but even though they show a connection, the internet speed is awful. What are some effective ways to enhance both speed and coverage to the cottage?

One solid approach is to set up a Wi-Fi access point with a directional antenna that's aimed directly at the cottage. Ideally, place it outside your home and connect it to your Xfinity router using an Ethernet cable. Without that wired backhaul, range extenders can really drain your bandwidth and slow everything down, especially if they're not high-quality models.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’m going to attempt the buried Ethernet cable method.
