I switched to Fedora recently, and many of the fonts I used on Windows are missing. Is there an easy way to install the common Microsoft fonts, along with extra symbols or icon fonts? I do creative work and would like a large selection of typefaces for different visual styles.

If you still have access to your Windows installation, you can copy the font files from its Fonts folder and install them in Fedora, as long as your use complies with the fonts’ licenses. There generally isn’t a completely official bundle containing every Windows font.
Fedora’s software manager has a Fonts section with a large selection available to install. For Microsoft’s common TrueType fonts, look for an msttcorefonts package or follow a Fedora-compatible installation guide. They usually aren’t included by default because of licensing restrictions.
