How can I prevent my spouse from seeing targeted ads for gifts?

I recently bought a Christmas gift for my husband, and two days later he showed me the exact item as an ad on Instagram, saying he wanted it. I'm really frustrated about this! Is there a way to shop without my husband seeing ads for gifts I've purchased, like using a different browser or incognito mode?

To avoid targeted ads, consider using privacy-focused browsers like DuckDuckGo. They don’t track you or use targeted ads, which means your browsing activity is kept more private. It’s a solid solution!

Incognito mode might seem like a good option, but don’t rely on it completely. Ads can still track you in certain cases, so a VPN is a better bet for enhanced privacy.

Avoid shopping on devices connected to your home Wi-Fi, as it can still track what you look at. Try using a friend's device on a different network to make your purchases. That way, you're less likely to trigger any targeted ads.
