How Can I Route Audio from Linux to Airplay Speakers on a Mac?

Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum and I need some help for an event coming up on December 31st. A DJ will be using Linux with the software 'Mixxx' to play music at a restaurant. The restaurant manager wants the music to be played through 5 DENON home speakers using Airplay. However, I'm not sure if this is possible since Airplay isn't typically supported on Linux. Is there a way for the DJ to send the audio from his Linux laptop to my Mac, which could then connect to all the Airplay speakers? Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

That might not work as intended. I recommend checking with the Airplay community for better insights. Also, do you know if the Denon speakers are specifically Airplay-only models?

Thanks for your response, TechieTom. The speakers are from the Denon Home 150 and 250 series and they connect through the HEOS app, so they can accept signal from different sources including Airplay. Bluetooth isn’t an option since the speakers are quite far apart.

You might want to start by connecting the DJ's laptop directly to one of the speakers via aux. Once that's done, you can try grouping the speakers into party mode. It's a straightforward setup to test out!
