If you're able to get it set up, single GPU passthrough can work really well. However, keep in mind that if you want to interact with the Linux system while the VM is running, Looking Glass might not be the right fit for you.
From what I remember, you'll need to build the Looking Glass client on your host OS and install the binary inside the guest VM to use it as the host. Just following the setup instructions in the documentation should cover most of the setup.
You could consider a simpler solution like using two cables and just switching the input on your monitor or using a switch. Looking Glass is impressive technically, but it often runs into errors since it captures frames directly from the GPU's framebuffer, which can be tricky.
