I just got a new computer, and when I plugged in my headphones, the "ASUS Realtek Audio Console" popped up. The problem is, I can only set my headphones to either record audio through the mic or let me hear audio. When I go into the "Device advanced settings," I can adjust these settings for the front panel, which shows a green headphone jack (where I plugged my headphones) and a pink jack (which seems inactive). Does anyone know how to get my headphones to do both—record and play audio?

It sounds like you're facing a common issue with audio settings. Some systems do limit the functionality of headphone jacks. Check if there’s a setting in the ASUS Realtek Audio Console that allows you to enable 'Headset' mode instead of just 'Headphones' or 'Microphone.' This setting might allow both your microphone and audio output to work together. If that doesn’t work, try updating your audio drivers from the ASUS website. It could be a driver conflict causing this.
Yeah, I had a similar issue before! Also, consider checking your computer's sound control panel in the settings; sometimes, you can enable features like 'Stereo Mix' that can help.
