I was trying to burn some music onto my CD-R74, but the process got interrupted. Now, when I try to burn it again, I keep getting errors at the end. Is the CD ruined from the first interruption?

You might want to grab some CD-RWs next time. They let you try again without the one-chance limit that CD-Rs have.
Yeah, if it was a CD-R, that first burn pretty much means it's done for. You might still be able to play from the start up to the interruption, but otherwise, it won't work for anything else.
Seriously, what is this, 1999? But hey, I get it; you're just trying to make a cool gift for your boyfriend. Don't sweat it too much!
Just to clarify, you don't 'upload' music to a CD; you burn it. If it's a CD-R, it's finalized after the first burn, and you're out of luck. If it was a CD-RW and you didn't finalize, you can give it another go!
