How to Install a Fresh Version of Windows on an OEM License?

I'm having a tough time with my current Windows installation; it feels corrupted and I'm facing constant permission errors. Even after attempting fresh resets, the issues come back quickly, and I'm unable to access the Microsoft Store or use any admin features. I've checked my license through the Command Prompt and it shows an OEM serial code. I understand that this is linked to my hardware, but I want to switch to a completely new license. What are my options for doing this?

It sounds like you're a bit confused about where the issue lies. The best move here is to just perform a clean installation of Windows. Your install might be messed up, but your OEM license should still be valid. You can create a bootable USB drive with the official Windows installer and follow the steps to reinstall it. There are plenty of guides online to help you through the process!

Hey there! Yeah, it seems like reinstalling Windows is the way to go rather than trying to remove the OEM license. Just make sure to download the official installer and you're good to go. Most of the time, the installation files can cause these permission errors, not the license. A clean install should help you out a lot!

You might be overthinking this a bit. Just install Windows from a USB drive. The problems you're facing are likely due to a corrupt installation, not because of the OEM license. So go ahead and give that clean install a shot; it should fix the issues you're having.

If you're using an OEM version, you can perform a full reinstall through the Windows troubleshooting tools. That should take care of the corruption issues you're having. It doesn’t really matter how many times you install Windows, your license is tied to the motherboard.
