Make sure to have a Scope of Work document signed off by your client before starting any work. This way, anything outside that agreement can be discussed separately. Also, I have a clause in my contract that ensures I have until the end of the next business day to respond to any inquiries. I've found that solid contracts can really prevent headaches later on!
