Is it unrealistic to think I can build and manage multiple websites using templates and AI?

Hey everyone! I'm the founder of a startup focused on consulting for small hotels. As we talk to more clients, we've noticed that many of them have outdated websites that aren't helping them grow. While I've worked as a software engineer, I don't have direct experience with website design. I'm considering using hotel website templates, like the one I found on GitHub, and integrating them with their booking systems that I'm familiar with. I plan to charge for maintenance when they need it. How unrealistic is this idea? Am I underestimating the amount of work it'll take? I think the first website might take a few weeks, with subsequent ones taking less time. I'm also thinking about hiring a freelancer for the first project. What do you think? Happy New Year to everyone!

Honestly, it's pretty naive to think it’ll be easy. Building and managing multiple sites might sound doable, but as you mentioned, you don’t really have experience in website development. The first project will likely take way longer than you expect, and integrating those templates with booking engines can get complicated. Plus, if you don’t know how to fix potential errors, relying solely on AI could make things messier. You might actually need a dedicated developer for a project like this to really pull it off successfully. Good luck though!

I agree! It sounds a bit more challenging than you think, but hey, if it works out and your clients are okay with basic one-page templates, it might be worth a shot!
