I'm on the lookout for a lightweight Linux operating system for my Acer Aspire A311-45 laptop. My laptop has an Intel Celeron N4500 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD. Currently, I'm using Zorin OS 18 Core, but it's feeling a bit too heavy for my needs. I primarily use my laptop for web browsing, word processing, watching videos, and other basic tasks. I'm seeking a system that has low resource usage, good stability, and offers a simple, clean desktop experience. I'm open to suggestions for different distributions and desktop environments, like XFCE, LXQt, or MATE. Thanks for your input!

I've been using Linux Lite on an Intel N4000 for a long time, but I recently switched to Mint with XFCE after upgrading to 8GB of RAM and moving to an SSD. It's been a smooth experience! Plus, there's a great beginner-friendly website that can help you with setting things up. Just give it a try!
If you're looking for something straightforward and efficient, I recommend going with XFCE on Mint. It's user-friendly and really performs well on lower-spec machines.

That's true, but honestly, most distros run fine if you're comfortable with maintenance.
