I'm putting together my first PC and I need some advice. Here's the link to my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZqmpJn. I've heard that I might need to update the BIOS on my motherboard for the CPU to work properly. Is that a tricky process?

For your laptop and your mom's PC, you can use them to complete some of the flash steps if needed, but generally, you might not need those to update the BIOS itself.

Updating the BIOS is pretty straightforward, especially since your motherboard supports flashback. You can follow some YouTube tutorials, and you’ll be good to go.
