I'm working on a homebrew pen and paper RPG campaign for my friends, and I'm currently using Sonnet with good results. I'm curious if there's any solid reason to switch to Opus for world building. I've tried it out, but I don't see much difference other than hitting my limit faster. Am I missing something here? What's the real advantage of using Opus?

Sonnet works just fine for most scenarios, especially if you're not going super deep with research or crafting a really complex narrative or puzzles. For those intricate tasks, Opus might be useful, but for general world building, you should be good sticking with Sonnet.
I tried the free versions of different AI models, and while I thought GPT-4o might be the way to go, I've been disappointed with its free version forgetting details. Claude seems to be a game changer for me. If you're in a similar boat, you might find it more useful than Opus, especially if you consider a paid version of ChatGPT, which likely offers similar features.
Honestly, I don't see a big advantage to Opus compared to Sonnet for this kind of work. I've found GPT-4o or even 4.5 to be better, although they are a bit pricey. If you already have a Claude subscription, just stick with the standard model, it's probably more than enough for what you need.
Totally agree! I faced the same issues with GPT-4o forgetting details. Claude definitely handles larger projects better for me too!
