Is Switching to Linux a Good Idea for Non-Coders?

I'm thinking about switching to Linux because I'm really struggling with OneDrive right now—it's messing with a mod I'm trying to create for tModLoader. I've spent a good chunk of time trying to get it uninstalled, but I'm worried about making the jump to Linux. I don't have much coding knowledge, and I'm curious if I'd need to learn a lot of technical stuff to get by. Should I go for it? Is there anything I should know before I dive into this transition?

It's better to dual boot rather than replacing your Windows OS right away. Since you're kinda new to Linux, starting with a separate SSD or even a flash drive for testing would be smart. You might find playing with Linux in a virtual machine helpful too. Also, remember that some troubleshooting may be required, but if you enjoy gaming, it’s a fun way to learn!

Totally agree! I dual-booted and it worked out well for me. You don't need to be a coding pro, just be willing to look things up when you run into issues. It’s a learning curve, but very doable!

You can totally try Linux without committing! Consider using a Live USB or a virtual machine to test it out. This lets you run Linux from a USB stick without installation. I recommend looking up how to create one—it's pretty straightforward. Check out some guides and tutorials online, then come back with any questions you have!
