Looking for a Voice-to-Text and Back to Voice App

I'm an avid gamer, but as a female player, I'm often worried about getting nasty comments because of my voice. I'm looking for an app that can take my voice, convert it to text, and then turn it back into speech through text-to-speech (TTS). I'm not very tech-savvy, so I'm curious if these apps exist and whether they are resource-heavy. Any suggestions?

Using a good text-to-speech program could be pretty resource-intensive. Luckily, you don’t really need that. A voice changer is a much lighter option and easier to set up. Voicemod is a solid choice, but keep in mind that even with voice changers, players might catch on pretty quickly. If you’re playing something like League of Legends or Valorant, I’d suggest skipping voice chat altogether to avoid potential negativity.

True, it might be better to just avoid the voice chat hassle. Harassment isn't just gender-specific; it can happen to anyone online.

Just a heads up: Be careful about deceiving people. Some might get super upset if they find out you've been catfishing with your voice. Stay safe while gaming!

You might want to try Voicemod; it should do the trick. Check out their website for more info. It's pretty popular for gaming.

There are some real-time voice changing apps that might work for you. I'd suggest searching for a "free PC voice changing app for gaming." I haven't personally tried these, but I've heard they can be helpful.

There's no straightforward app for this yet, but you could set up a local Whisper model for speech-to-text, which would be light on resources. And then combine it with a simple TTS model like Piper. You might even run it on something small, like a Raspberry Pi, although it won't sound too natural without a more powerful model. If you want that human feel, you'll need a better setup with a decent GPU.

Sure, you can use voice changers, but honestly, why even use voice? People can be toxic regardless of gender. Just don't engage! I haven't used a mic in ages and it's been smooth sailing for me.

HyperVoice on TaskAGI might work for what you need. You can record your voice or upload a file and change it to whatever speech style you want. It's worth checking out!
