We're a group of students developing a platform aimed at helping college students globally, and we're currently in need of a free cloud storage solution to host notes and PDFs (we'll compress them to save space). I'd prefer not to use Cloudinary since it only offers 5GB for free. I initially thought about using Google Drive, but there are some rate limit issues I'm concerned about. Right now, we have over 250 users, and I want to ensure the solution can handle at least 1,000 users, or potentially 2,000-4,000 students in the future. I considered using Cloudinary temporarily until we exceed their free limit, but I'm open to other suggestions!

Oracle Cloud offers 20GB of free S3-compatible storage, which is one of the best free options available right now. Just keep in mind that you'll have to pay for any additional usage, but their pricing overall is quite reasonable.
Actually, I just checked again, and it seems it’s 10GB in some regions. But it’s still affordable!
Have you considered using Cloudflare R2? It costs only a penny per gigabyte, which is pretty affordable even for 1,000 users. If you're worried about costs, it might be worth looking into!
I did some calculations and it’s not that bad! Thanks for the tip on R2!

Oh cool! I’ll definitely check out Oracle Cloud. Thanks for the heads-up!
