Looking for PC Build Advice on a $1200 CAD Budget

Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building my very first PC and would love some advice. The last time I looked into it was back in 2023 when I thought about using a Ryzen 5 5600 paired with an RTX 3060. I'm wondering if that's outdated now and if I can find better components within my budget of about $1200 CAD for 2025. I've heard good things about the Ryzen 5 7600X as a budget CPU, but I'm not sure which GPU would be a great match for it. I'm aiming for a white-themed build, but I'm okay with some black parts since I plan to upgrade over time. Additionally, I'm completely lost when it comes to motherboards, so any tips on compatible parts would be super helpful!

It’s just for the PC parts, not including any peripherals, and that's before tax. I figured trying to fit everything into $1200 would be unrealistic.

Just to clarify, is your $1200 budget including peripherals like a monitor and keyboard, or just the PC itself? And also, is that price before or after tax?

If you're thinking AM5 for future upgrades, consider bumping your budget slightly by about $100 to get a 9060 XT 16GB. It’s a worthwhile investment! Here's a PCPartPicker list for your reference:

- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
- **Cooler**: Thermalright Assassin X Refined SE
- **Motherboard**: ASRock B650M Pro RS WiFi Micro ATX
- **Memory**: TEAMGROUP T-Force Delta RGB 32 GB
- **Storage**: Kingston NV3 1 TB NVMe SSD
- **GPU**: PowerColor Reaper Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB
- **Case**: NZXT H5 Flow (2022) ATX
- **Power Supply**: MSI MAG A750GL 750W

It's a bit over your budget at approximately $1346.54, but you can adjust where necessary. The white RAM and cooler add a nice aesthetic for about an extra $25-$30.

Check out this suggested bundle—it’s a solid starting point: https://www.canadacomputers.com/en/amd-desktop-processors/276626/amd-r5-7600x-cpu-asus-tuf-gaming-b650m-e-wifi-motherboard-t-force-32gb-d5-6000mhz-cl30-ram.html. For the GPU, I’d recommend going for the 9060 XT 16GB, which will fit nicely within your budget. The total should be around $1200 to $1250 CAD, which is pretty close to what you’re aiming for!
