Hi everyone, I'm in a really frustrating situation. For years now, my neighbor, who used to be a good friend, has been hacking into my phone and my PC. Recently, he's been throttling my internet when I'm trying to watch live streams. I'm not very tech-savvy, so I'm unsure how to deal with this. I don't own my own router; I only have a TP-Link range extender, and my father pays for the internet service. I'm close to going to the police, but I'd prefer not to escalate things if possible. Can anyone offer some advice on how to handle this?

Just a heads up, if you think you're hacked, you might want to verify it before accusing someone. Have you looked for any unusual activity or installed security apps? Sometimes, it could just be a bad connection. But if your neighbor is indeed involved, documenting everything would be essential if you proceed with legal actions.
It sounds like you're dealing with some serious issues. First off, have you checked your network security? Change your Wi-Fi password and ensure your range extender is set up securely. If you suspect someone is tampering with your devices, consider factory resetting them. Also, it might be worthwhile to consult a tech expert or a service for additional help.
I've thought about that but I'm worried it's beyond just that. He’s literally told me he’s hacking me!
I get that, but he knows details about my messages and stuff, which makes it hard to doubt.
