I've been working on an album and stored all my DAW files on a USB flash drive because my laptop has limited space. Today, while it was plugged into a USB hub, it suddenly stopped working and I can't access my files anymore. When I try to open the USB directly on my laptop, it says 'Please insert a disk into USB drive.' I also tested it on another computer and got the same message. I don't have any backups, and I can't afford to lose this album. I'm looking for urgent help with this!

Don't panic just yet! Your files might still be recoverable since data typically isn't completely erased until it's rewritten. You can try using some data recovery software like EaseUS Data Recovery or Recuva. If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, consider sending the drive to a professional data recovery service. Just keep in mind that costs can vary based on how critical your data is to you.

Do you have any recommendations for specific recovery software?
