I'm diving into PC building for the first time and I'm a bit lost on whether the parts I've picked are solid or if I missed the mark. My budget is $1500, and I want to build a rig mainly for gaming—specifically, titles like RDR2, Arma 3, Rocket League, Modern Warfare, and Fortnite, which aren't available on consoles. If anyone could take a look at my parts and give me feedback on whether there are better alternatives or mistakes, I'd really appreciate it! Here's the list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GBddW4

Honestly, your selection is kind of a jumble of older parts that are expensive for what you get. I recommend going with an AM5 build along with a 5060ti GPU, which is a lot more up-to-date and will perform better. You can definitely run games in 1440p with that!
It looks like your build has some outdated parts that could be holding you back. If you check this alternative setup, it might give you a much better performance for gaming:
**CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor - $369.99
**GPU:** MSI VANGUARD SOC GeForce RTX 5070 12 GB Video Card - $539.99
**Memory:** 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 - $85.99
This build is not only faster but also has more modern components which will help with those games you want to play!
Thank you so much for the advice! I'll definitely consider this setup.
Can that run 1440p decently well?
