I started a new job at a lab where we can listen to music or podcasts through one earbud. The downside is that I have zero cell phone reception inside the building and can't connect to 5G. There's a Wi-Fi network, but all the networks are locked and apparently, I shouldn't ask for the guest password. While I usually download my shows before work, I want to stream MLB playoff games live during my shifts. Any suggestions on how to connect to the internet or get the broadcasts on my Samsung phone?

If you can find a spot that gets some reception for your phone, try stashing it there and use Bluetooth to connect it to your earbuds for listening. If you've got an old tablet, you could also connect your phone's hotspot to that and listen through it. Just be strategic about where you place your devices.
Definitely chat with your IT department to understand their personal device policy. It could be they have a legitimate reason for the network restrictions, and you might even be able to get the Wi-Fi password if you approach them the right way. If all fails, bringing an old-school radio can be a simple fix!
You might consider using a mobile hotspot if you're able to switch providers. Also, check for any Ethernet ports in the building; if you find one, a travel router can set up your own Wi-Fi. Just be careful with IT since they might not appreciate that. Alternatively, some phones allow connection via a dongle, so look into that too! With the right setup, you could keep your phone streamed while you work.
