I'm on the hunt for a solid gaming headset that fits my budget of $450, ideally around $300-$400. I need something that can handle long hours of use—think 12-14 hours daily, as I work remotely and use it for both gaming and video calls. Comfort is key, but I'm not worried about weight since I'm quite muscular, and I want something that won't break down from frequent usage. I'd love it if I could also use the headset for my phone at the gym, though that's just a nice-to-have. Noise cancellation isn't a top priority as my workspace is pretty quiet, but I'm after amazing sound quality for gaming and clear audio for chatting. Also, just to clarify, I already have a professional mic, so I don't need one built-in. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I recommend checking out the Astro A50x. They can connect to your phone, so you can use them while gaming or at the gym. Another solid option is the Nova Pro Wireless, which I mostly use for my PS5, and they’re fantastic! Both have great sound and should stand up to your heavy usage, but I’d say the Nova has the edge in sound quality if you’re leaning that way.
For a wired option, you might want to consider the Drop PC38x. They don’t work great for workouts since they're wired, but they do have an amazing mic and are super comfortable. The sound profile is really neutral too, which is great for gaming and casual listening.
Honestly, if you’re open to just headphones, look into some of the high-end models that don’t have a mic option. They’ll often provide better sound fidelity and comfort for long hours than standard gaming headsets. Just make sure to get a good headphone amplifier to really bring out the quality!

I was thinking about both of those. Which one do you find better overall?
