Hey everyone! I'm on the hunt for a white external sound card or audio interface for my computer. My main uses will be gaming and music production. It's important to me that the gear has great sound quality and low latency so it's suitable for both purposes.
Here are a few things I'm looking for:
- The device must be white, or at least visually match white, with a black front being an acceptable variation.
- It needs a PC connection via USB or Thunderbolt.
- Mic and instrument inputs along with solid preamps would be a huge plus.
My studio setup has a white and green theme with some black accents, so the interface needs to match this aesthetic. I'd love to hear your recommendations or personal experiences with any models that fit these criteria. Thanks a lot!

Before you decide, how many inputs are you looking for? Do you need XLR or TLR ones, or both? Also, what's your budget and where are you located? Finding white interfaces can be tricky since most are black or silver, but it could help to specify your requirements better!
The Sound Blaster X5 really has some great features but unfortunately, it's not available in white. If you really like it, you might consider repainting it if you're handy. Just a thought!
Just a heads up though, the Sound Blaster X5 is mainly a headphone DAC/AMP and lacks balanced inputs for music production.
Honestly, just grab a good DAC and paint it if needed. Nobody really makes a great quality white DAC, and if they do, they might not perform well. Don’t compromise on quality just for looks!

I’ve seen a teardown of the X5 and it doesn't seem too hard to take apart to paint. That could be a nice DIY project!
