I'm using a Seasonic GX-750 PSU, which has 4 sockets for 8-pin CPU/GPU/PCI-E connections. I just bought an RTX 5070Ti graphics card that requires 3 sockets, but my motherboard is already using 2 of those sockets. Should I unplug the CPU_PWR_2 connector, or would it be better to daisy chain one of the GPU connectors? I have an MSI Mag Z790 Tomahawk MAX motherboard with an Intel i7 14700K processor.

Just to clarify, the CPU 4+4 connectors aren’t wired the same as PCIe connectors. How many PCIe connectors do you actually have?
Either option will work fine! The i7 14700K won't draw more power than a single CPU power connector can handle, unless you're really pushing the limits with overclocking. Personally, I'd suggest daisy chaining one of the GPU connectors since it tends to be easier.

The PSU has 3 sockets for either EPS 4+4 or PCIe 6+2 cables, so I think that gives me more flexibility. I’m not trying to mix them up!
