I'm 28 and have no prior knowledge of AWS. I'm considering whether I should complete the Google IT Support certification from Coursera before diving into AWS. Someone mentioned it's a good first step, and it was also suggested that I take the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner afterward. Additionally, I've heard doing CompTIA A+ before the Cloud Practitioner isn't a bad idea either. I'm just looking for advice from others who have more experience in the field.

What specifically do you want to achieve? If you’re looking to switch careers into IT or Cybersecurity, getting the Google IT Support cert first could be a solid move. It lays down a foundation that would make tackling AWS easier down the line.
I didn't have much tech knowledge before either, just basic fixes like Microsoft 365 for small places. After doing the Google IT Support certification, I moved on to IT support at a big company, which really opened my eyes to how different systems work together. Learning about networking and server admin is super critical for AWS, considering it has so many services based on those foundations. I skipped the Cloud Practitioner and went straight for the Solutions Architect certification, and I passed it! Just a thought—starting with Google IT will be beneficial for you.
