What Drivers Do I Need After a Fresh Windows 11 Install on My New PC?

Hey folks! I recently had my PC built by a tech, and everything was running smoothly. A few weeks ago, I asked him to do a clean install of Windows 11, which wiped my local disk C. After checking some old program screenshots, I noticed I'm missing a few drivers and software, specifically the AMD Chipset, NVIDIA drivers, Armoury Crate, and some ASUS services.

Here are my PC specs for reference:
- CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3060 (non-TI)
- Storage: Samsung SSD 970 Evo Plus (C drive)
- RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ripjaw (1 stick)
- Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming
- Power Supply: RM750X
- Tower: Corsair 400D Airflow

So, I'm wondering which components of my PC actually need drivers for installation. I'm really annoyed with the tech for handing it back to me in such a stripped-down state and I could use some advice since I'm not very familiar with this stuff. Thanks!

If you're not super dependent on ASUS's Armoury Crate, I wouldn't bother installing it. Also, I’d recommend considering a dual-channel RAM setup; going with 32GB (2x16GB) would really optimize your system performance compared to just having one stick. Just a thought!

I’m actually planning to upgrade to 32GB soon! I had another stick before, but it got damaged. I assumed Armoury Crate was vital like the AMD chipset, but good to know it might not be essential.

You'll definitely need the NVIDIA game-ready drivers for your GPU and the AMD chipset drivers for your CPU and motherboard. Those are essential for your PC to run properly. Windows updates will handle most other drivers automatically, so you should be good there!

Thanks! Just to clarify, which part exactly does the NVIDIA drivers relate to? Is that just for gaming or does it help with anything else?
