Hey everyone! I'm new to Linux and have decided to switch from Windows after years of frustration. I've just built a new PC and would love your recommendations for a Linux distribution that's stable, secure, and plays well with modern hardware. I primarily use my PC for productivity but also enjoy gaming. Here are my specs:

- Motherboard: GIGABYTE Extreme X870E
- CPU: AMD 9950X3D
- GPU: RTX 5080
- RAM: 256 GB DDR5

Since this is a brand-new setup, I'm looking for a distro that suits both productivity and gaming, has strong community support, and is frequently updated. I'm comfortable with a bit of tinkering and command-line work if necessary, as I want something solid to replace Windows. I'd appreciate any advice you can share! Thanks!

If you want something user-friendly and hassle-free with drivers, I’d suggest trying Pop!_OS. It simplifies the installation process, especially for NVIDIA drivers, which can be a headache on other distros. If you’re looking to dive deeper and have a fresh experience, consider using Debian with the GNOME desktop environment.
