Hey everyone! I've got my last interview for a junior sys admin position coming up this week. I've been working in Helpdesk for 6 years, dealing with both L1 and L2 support, and I've picked up quite a bit of knowledge along the way. I'm looking to sharpen my skills before the technical interview, so I'd love to hear your suggestions on what topics I should focus on. I've been studying things like DNS issues, file share troubleshooting, GPO, and SMBs, but I want to make sure I'm well-prepared to show my value. Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated!

A great approach is to find out exactly what the sys admins at the company do. Try to show the interviewer that you've taken the initiative to learn and practice those tasks. If you haven't already, setting up a homelab can be really beneficial!

When you say "find out what their sys admins do," should I just go off the job listing, or is there a better way to gather that info? Sorry if that sounds silly, I just feel a bit underprepared right now.
