I'm considering switching my LAMP project from a shared hosting environment to CloudWays. Has anyone here used it? How's your experience been? I'm looking to avoid downtime and handle the infrastructure better. Any insights would be great!

One more thing to note is that with CloudWays, you don’t get root access. Just something to consider if you plan to customize your server.
I host very basic sites on CloudWays, and I've been okay with it for that purpose. But if your project involves web applications, they might be limited with frameworks. For example, I prefer Vercel for my web apps, though it's not LAMP. But if you're just uploading HTML, CSS, and compiled JS, it should work fine for you!
My experience with CloudWays was quite frustrating, and I really can't recommend it. For starters, their marketing is way too aggressive. I still get bombarded with emails even after buying their services! Also, the pricing structure is ridiculous. For example, a $10 Digital Ocean Managed service should cost about $6 without CloudWays, but with them, it jumps to $40 a month—total rip-off! Their managed services can be really subpar too. I had WordPress instances breaking due to PHP limits and dealing with support was tedious. Plus, you can’t change your credit card info without deleting your account! Just feels too scammy all around.
