I recently received a login notification from Microsoft stating that someone from India accessed my Microsoft account. The weird part is that the email didn't mention my actual login—rather than showing something like "b***@email.com", it just said "b_*". When I checked the sign-in page, there were no weird activity logs that I could see. I'm wondering if this is related to an alias or linked account associated with my email. Despite the confusion, I changed my password as a precaution. Anyone know how I can track down this mysterious account, or what it might be? Thanks in advance!

Great job changing your password! I'd also recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) using the Microsoft app or a similar 2FA app. If the email was pointing to an address that isn't yours, it's best to ignore it since that could be a phishing attempt. You seem to be on top of your security!

Thanks! I've already got 2FA set up. It just threw me off a bit because the email looked official. I'm wondering if this is an old email I've linked or something like that.
