Which domain should I choose: a short .info or a longer .com?

I've registered two domain names and can't decide which one to use for my new website aimed at beginners who want to create database files easily in their browsers using sql.js and IndexedDB. The options are MyDB.info and MyDBTool.com. I'm looking for some advice on which domain would be better overall.

While both could work if you invest in marketing, remember that .com is still the king of domains. Make it your main domain and consider redirecting the other to avoid confusion and capture traffic effectively. Good luck with your website!

Honestly, I block .info domains on my mail server because they’ve got a bad rep for spamming. Grab the .com and keep the .info to prevent someone from squatting on it!

I’d definitely go with the .com! It’s widely regarded as more trustworthy than .info. Users tend to feel more comfortable visiting a .com site due to its familiarity, plus it generally looks more professional.

But why do you think a .com is more trustworthy? Isn’t trust just about the content of the site?

It’s pretty much human psychology. A lot of folks really don’t understand domains and will shy away from anything that doesn’t look familiar. .com has gotta be the way to go for accessibility and clarity.

Another vote for .com! It just makes more sense for a user-friendly site. If you're ever considering another option, MyDB.tools might be worth thinking about too!
