Which GPU Upgrade Should I Choose: 9070 XT or 5070 Ti?

I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card from a 3070 Ti and have discovered that I can get a 9070 XT for 610 EUR and a 5070 Ti for 770 EUR. Do you think the 160 EUR difference is worth it, or should I save some cash and stick with the 9070 XT? For reference, I have a CPU that's a 12700K alongside 32GB of DDR4 RAM. I mainly play games like BO6, BF6, GTA5 Enhanced, Marvel Rivals, and Cyberpunk 2077, all at 1080p resolution. Ideally, I'd like to max out the settings on these games.

Grab the 9070 XT and use the savings for a nice 1440p 27-inch monitor. It offers a better value overall, plus you’ll notice a real difference in your gaming visuals!

Absolutely! I've got the same setup and it’s been a joy to use.

I totally agree. You get way more performance per euro spent!

Both cards might be overkill for 1080p. Your 3070 Ti is still great for that resolution. If you’re eyeing max settings, maybe consider upgrading your monitor to 1440p too; it’ll make better use of a new GPU!

Exactly! For the same price, you could get a better gaming experience with a 1440p monitor. I'd back the 9070 XT and use the leftover cash for a monitor upgrade.

I did that when I moved from a 3070 Ti to a 9070 XT and it's been fantastic for the more demanding games at 1440p!

Honestly, unless you're concerned about ray tracing or DLSS, the 9070 XT is definitely the smarter buy given the current differences in pricing. You’re saving cash that can go towards future upgrades later on!

Exactly, the extra 160 EUR isn't justified in my eyes for the small performance increase.

Right! Just be sure to consider your future gaming needs before you settle on which GPU to buy.

If gaming is your main focus, the 9070 XT is the clear winner for just about everything else. Just be mindful—if you also want to do things like CUDA rendering or AI tasks, then the 5070 Ti might be worth considering.

FutureProofFX -

Exactly! If you're looking for pure gaming performance, the 9070 XT is hard to beat at that price.

NerdyNights -

Yup, and with that CPU, you should expect great performance at higher resolutions.

I’d definitely go with the 9070 XT at that price difference. They perform similarly in most games, and unless you really need DLSS or the absolute best ray tracing performance, the team red option is a solid choice. You'll be saving some money too!

GamerDude98 -

True! At 1080p, the RX 9070 XT can handle ray tracing pretty well without much issue.

I actually had the 9070 XT and experienced lag in a few games, which is why I switched to the 5070 Ti. But if you're just gaming, 9070 XT should do fine.
