Why are my headphones sounding uneven after washing?

Hey everyone! I recently made the mistake of tossing my headphones (JBL Wave Flex) into the washing machine, and now I'm facing a frustrating issue. The left earbud is way louder than the right one. Is there a way to adjust the volume of just one earbud? Any potential fixes or tips would be appreciated!

Honestly, you might be dealing with some leftover water inside the earbuds. But seriously, what were you thinking putting them in the washing machine?

I just wanted to clean them! Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

I feel you! I once forgot mine in my pocket when washing my running shorts too.

You might want to check this link out, but just a heads up, your headphones might be water damaged since they’re only water resistant. Here’s the support page: https://support.jbl.com/howto/tws-headphones-re-establishing-volume-levels-us/000017775.html

Are both earpieces adjusting the volume the same way? If the right side is stuck at a high volume, there’s a good chance the internal circuit has been damaged by the water. Unfortunately, your best bet might be to replace them.
