Hey everyone, I'm setting up a desktop HiFi system using the TEAC AI-303 DAC/AMP with my Dell XPS 13 9310 running Windows 11. I paired it via Bluetooth without issues, and I can play music from platforms like Tidal and YouTube just fine through my passive speakers or headphones. However, I'm struggling to get any system sounds at all unless I'm playing music, and they're really quiet. I've set the TEAC as my default audio device and even installed its USB drivers despite using Bluetooth. I haven't updated the firmware yet, and I'm uncertain how to proceed. Interestingly, while composing this, I noticed that I do get some system sounds when music is playing, but they're barely audible. Also, I don't hear any sounds during things like Teams meetings, which seems odd since that's a continuous audio stream. Any ideas what might be causing this issue?

It sounds like your Bluetooth connection is having a common quirk. Often, Bluetooth audio doesn't fully activate until something is actively playing, which might explain why system sounds only come through when music is on. They can finish playing before the connection really kicks in, making them seemingly vanish. To tackle the quietness, check your volume mixer in Windows to make sure system sounds aren’t set too low. Sometimes, they can get buried under other volume levels.

They're so quiet that I can barely hear them even when my music app is set to 10% and Windows is at 100%. Plus, I noticed I don't hear any system sounds during a Teams meeting, which seems weird since that should be a constant audio stream. Any thoughts on that?
