I recently built my PC with an Asrock B760M Steel Legend WiFi motherboard, and I'm facing a frustrating issue: the Realtek High Definition Audio drivers just aren't appearing at all. I've tried almost everything I can think of to resolve this:
- I enabled "Show hidden devices" in Device Manager, but still no sign of Realtek.
- I checked the BIOS settings to ensure onboard audio is enabled.
- Updated my BIOS to the latest version available.
- Downloaded and installed Realtek drivers straight from ASRock's official website, but they didn't appear.
- Used DDU to remove NVIDIA and audio drivers; still no luck finding Realtek.
- Attempted to use "Add Legacy Hardware" in Device Manager, but that caused a blue screen.
- My only audio output device is my monitor connected via DisplayPort, and there are no Realtek options in the playback tab of Sound Settings.
Before doing a Windows reinstall, my Realtek audio was functioning perfectly, so I suspect this is more of a driver or software issue rather than a hardware problem. I really need help figuring out what else I can do!

Have you checked for any devices with warning labels in Device Manager? Sometimes hardware issues can be hidden in there. If something is wrong, it could directly affect the audio drivers showing up. Also, ensure the audio cable is securely connected to your motherboard if you're using a front panel.
I had a similar problem before, and the way I fixed it was by repeatedly uninstalling the High Definition Audio device and then restarting my system until the Realtek driver finally made an appearance. It worked for me; you might want to give it a try!
I spotted that Intel Quick SPI Host Controller has an error too. But I'm not sure if that's related. My audio cable is tight, so it looks like that shouldn't be the issue.
