Why can’t I make in-app purchases suddenly?

I've run into a frustrating issue where I can't make any in-app purchases or subscriptions for the last week. I've been using the same Apple ID and payment card for years, and I haven't changed anything recently. I've checked my card info, ensured I'm on the latest iOS version, and confirmed that my settings allow in-app purchases. I've reset my phone multiple times and even tried different payment methods, but nothing seems to work. My Apple account is fine, as I can make purchases in person, but everything in-app is just not going through. I'm really running out of patience with this situation!

Have you looked at your purchase history? Sometimes, unpaid orders can cause issues. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Media & Purchases > View Account > Purchase History and check if there’s anything outstanding.

I checked it out, and everything is paid. The last things I bought were for iCloud+ and adding money, and those went through fine.

If there was a chargeback on your account with Apple, that could definitely cause these issues. Otherwise, if a payment was declined due to insufficient funds, removing and re-adding your card can sometimes fix it. Just make sure there are no issues with your account status.

I've already tried removing and re-adding my cards, even tested with different bank accounts. I’ve checked my balance, and I’m definitely not in the negatives with my bank.
