Why is my Ad Blocker causing issues on YouTube?

I've been using an ad blocker for YouTube, and it used to work perfectly—no ads, no interruptions. Recently, though, shorts and videos won't play at all if I have the ad blocker enabled. I really dislike sitting through those unskippable ads. I've looked into some solutions, but none of the available extensions for Edge seem to work, and I don't have a Raspberry Pi to try anything else. Is there another way to fix this?

You might want to try using the Brave browser instead. It has built-in ad blocking and doesn't usually have compatibility issues with YouTube.

YouTube has become pretty savvy at detecting ad blockers, especially since Edge is built on Chromium—just like Chrome. This means YouTube's verification methods can easily apply to Edge. Unfortunately, you might need to wait for your ad blocker to get an update, explore other ad blocking extensions, or consider switching browsers if you're looking for a quick fix.

I've tried a bunch of different extensions but none of them seem to help.
