Hey everyone! I was on a site looking to fill out a form that I could edit in my browser, and after completing it, I had the option to download with changes or without. Just to clarify, if I choose to download with changes, my personal info shouldn't be saved in the browser's version, right? The document isn't cloud-based; it's for an application that multiple people will access through the same link.
Now, I ran into a problem. After downloading the file with changes, it got locked on my desktop, and it's asking for a password. I didn't set a password! What's going on here? Is my personal information stored somewhere? Thanks for your help!

Seems like a hiccup you hit with some PDFs needing passwords. It's possible the site had that setting without you knowing. If the PDF is just for local use, your info shouldn't be saved online, so you likely don't have to worry about that.
It sounds like you downloaded a PDF that might be password-protected. Unfortunately, we can't know the specifics without seeing the document. My best suggestion is to reach out to the creator of the form to find out why it’s locked. The good news is that entering info in a fillable form doesn't typically save your data online, so your info should be safe in that regard.
I got it from a government-related site for my application. Appreciate your reassurance!
Is there a way to unlock it without losing my data?
