Why is my right earbud louder than the left one?

I've been having this annoying issue where the right earbud of my headphones is noticeably louder than the left one, and it's been driving me crazy. I've tried two different pairs of headphones, and both have the same problem. I checked the balance settings, and it's perfectly set in the middle. I've also cleaned the left earbud, but nothing seems to work. It behaves the same way when I test them out on my iPad too. Could this be a problem with my iPhone or iPad?

Have you considered that it might be a hearing issue on your left side? It's possible that earwax could be affecting the sound too. Definitely worth checking that out if you're noticing a significant difference!

Yeah, I'm hoping it’s just earwax. I’d hate to think there’s a chance of hearing loss.

Have you tried wearing the earbuds backwards? Sometimes switching them up can surprisingly equalize the sound, depending on how they're fit in your ears. My friend had a similar problem and that helped her!

Haha, that's an interesting thought! But yeah, for me, it's definitely my left ear that's the issue.

What brand of headphones are you using? Different models like EarPods, AirPods, or even non-Apple brands can provide different sound balance. Sometimes it’s just the way they’re designed!

I actually found my solution, but thanks for trying to help me out!
